Privacy Policy

Overview

We built CupTracker to make live golf scoring effortless. Protecting the information you share with us is a core part of that promise. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

Account details you provide (e.g., name, email) when you create an account, register for events, or contact support.

Authentication data from sign-in providers as described below.

Usage information about how you interact with CupTracker, such as feature engagement, device and browser identifiers, and diagnostic logs that help us keep the experience stable.

Google Sign-In Data

When you choose “Continue with Google,” we request the following scopes: openid, email, and profile.

From these scopes we receive your Google account ID (subject), name, email address, and profile image URL, along with an ID token used to authenticate your session.

We use this data only to authenticate you, create and manage your CupTracker account, and display your profile information within the app. We do not use this data for advertising.

Apple Sign-In Data

When you choose “Sign in with Apple,” Apple shares a user identifier, and, if you grant permission, your name and email address (which may be a private relay email). Apple may provide name and email only on first authorization.

We use this data only to authenticate you, create and manage your CupTracker account, and display your profile information within the app. We do not use this data for advertising.

How We Use Information

Operate and improve CupTracker, personalize event workflows, communicate important updates, and prevent misuse of the platform.

Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues, including monitoring performance and reliability.

Sharing and Processors

We share data with service providers who help us operate CupTracker (for example, cloud hosting, analytics, error monitoring, email delivery, and—if applicable—payment processing). These providers are obligated to protect your information and use it only on our instructions.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account information while your account remains active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for fraud prevention, security, or legal obligations (which may persist in backups for up to 90 days).

You can delete your personal information from within the app or by contacting support@cuptracker.com. Deleting personal information does not remove events or historical scoring records you participated in; those event records remain for the integrity of the competition and for other participants who rely on them.

You can request a copy of your personal data or further details about deletion by emailing support@cuptracker.com from your signed-in email address.

Your Rights and Choices

Update your account details in the app or contact us to make changes on your behalf.

Opt out of marketing communications via the unsubscribe link in those messages. Transactional communications—such as receipts or security alerts—may continue as long as your account is active.

Security

We apply industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring for suspicious activity. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we review our safeguards regularly and adapt them as threats evolve.

Children's Privacy

CupTracker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
