Getting Started
CupTracker makes running team golf tournaments easy, fast, and fun. It handles scoring, handicaps, live leaderboards, and skins so you can focus on playing. Read the complete guide.
One person (usually the trip organizer or captain) creates the tournament. They'll add players, rounds, and course details, then purchase the event to activate it.
Once your tournament is created, you’ll receive unique access codes. Share the Admin code with captains, Editor codes with players, and a View-only link for anyone who wants to follow along.
CupTracker supports Ryder Cup–style team events, match play formats, and casual weekend trips. You can fully customize teams, rounds, and formats. Learn how to host a Ryder Cup style tournament.
Creating & Managing Tournaments
Players are added manually for now. You can enter names and handicaps directly when setting up or editing a tournament. GHIN integration is coming soon.
Yes. Captains with Admin access can update pairings or set matchups anytime, even on event day.
Search for your course by name, select the correct tees for each round, and CupTracker will handle the rest, including handicap adjustments if enabled.
You can run Team Total, Best Ball, Alternate Shot, Singles, Shamble, or Scramble matches. All are 2v2 except Singles, and you can mix formats between rounds.
Scoring & Live Updates
Anyone with Editor access can enter scores directly from the app. Changes update instantly for everyone. No refresh needed.
Yes. You can toggle between net and gross views to see who’s playing above or below their handicap.
Yes! CupTracker automatically tracks skins so every hole stays competitive even if a player is out of the match.
Yes. All live scores, leaderboards, and match results update in real time while the app is open. No manual refresh required.
Handicap Calculations
CupTracker uses the official USGA Course Handicap calculation to assign strokes based on each player’s handicap index and the selected tee ratings. You can easily compare net and gross scoring at any time.
No, but it’s recommended if you want accurate net scoring. If left blank, scores will count as gross only.
Sharing & Viewing
You can share unique invite links with players so they can join your tournament directly in the app. We recommend having players download CupTracker first, then open the invite link. It will automatically assign the right access level. You can also share a public view-only link with anyone who wants to follow along. They'll see live scores, standings, and stats (no account required).
Admin: full control over settings and matchups. Usually captains.
Editor: can enter live scores. Most participants.
Viewer: view-only access for spectators.Yes. Past tournaments remain available in your account so you can revisit results and stats anytime. Be sure to create an account to save your events.
Payments & Pricing
Usually the organizer will purchase the event. Once it’s paid, all players can access and use it.
Pricing starts at $24.99 for up to 4 players and goes up to $99.99 for groups of 16-24 players. All tiers support up to 6 rounds.
